Your tensioner is ready to be installed. Simply bolt it on in place of your stock unit, no adjustments or modifications are required.

Mounting bolts should be tightened to 35 ft-lbs of torque.

To confirm proper belt tension, verify that the alignment indicator (single line) falls between the two outer reference marks once the belt is under load.

Hellcat

Your tensioner arm features a ½" square drive port located on the arm behind the pulley. Always use a breaker bar inserted into this port to load and remove the belt — never apply force to the pulley mounting bolt.

Your tensioner is designed to be used with the ARS double-bearing pulley. The bolt supplied is sized for our pulley and may be too long if you are using a single-bearing pulley.

Our Coyote tensioner is significantly stronger than the OEM unit. Do not attempt to run a shorter-than-stock belt. Do not overstress the tensioner when loading the belt — doing so can result in a broken pulley mounting bolt.
